With abundant rivers, lakes and ponds The Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor has perfect habitat for bald eagles — our national symbol. Over the past decade eagles have been returning to the region and nesting along our rivers and lakes. This program, presented by Bill Reid, Chief Ranger,  tells the history of bald eagles in the country and describes the unique characteristics of these amazing birds. Information will be provided on TLGV’s role assisting the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to monitor bald eagle nests and statewide midwinter eagle survey.

This program is free and open to all.
