Once again we are delighted to participate in the Connecticut Storytelling Center’s Tellabration, a storytelling phenomenon made up of dozens of storytelling happenings all over the world. Its purpose is to introduce adults as well as kids to the pleasures of the oral art of storytelling.
This year our storyteller is Meris Palmer, a certified teacher who tells stories to audiences of all ages. Her early childhood background gives her a particular understanding for communicating a story to young children. Her repertoire includes folktales, ethnic tales and literary stories; she offers plenty of interactive stories and sometimes even a puppet or two! Please join us for this special storytelling event, which takes the place of our usual Family Storytime.
You’ll find a full listing of Tellabration programs in Connecticut on the Connecticut Storytelling Center’s website at http://www.connstorycenter.org.
