ARPA Grant for Social Service Agencies

The Town of Mansfield has allocated funding from the American Recovery Program Act (ARPA) funds to assist Social Service Agencies that are providing valuable services to Mansfield residents. The funds will be distributed through a one-time grant process and agencies are invited to apply. The application instructions are attached and can also be found below.

Submittals must meet the following criteria:

• Grants will be in the amounts of $5,000 - $25,000 depending on the merit of the request.

• Regional and local Social Service Agencies serving Mansfield residents may apply for grant funds. These agencies must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in order to be eligible.

• Agencies will need to demonstrate that the funds provided will be used to address one of the following priorities/areas of concern:

o Mental Health and Wellness

o Food Insecurity

o Homelessness/Housing Insecurity

o Economic Insecurity

o Transportation and Access

Funding proposals submitted by area social service agencies in response to the RFP will be initially reviewed and evaluated by members of the Human Services Advisory Committee and appropriate Town staff. Recommendations relative to agency funding awards will then be formally presented to the Town Council for its consideration and deliberation prior to final funding decisions being rendered.
