ARPA Grant for Social Service Agencies

Grant Application and Information

In 2022 the Town of Mansfield allocated $350,000 of the American Recovery Program Act (ARPA) funds to assist non-profits that are providing valuable services to vulnerable populations within our community.  The Town of Mansfield has opened a second Request For Proposals.  Regional and local non-profits, providing valuable services to Mansfield residents may apply for the grant funds.

Applications must meet the following criteria:

• Grants awards will range from $5,000 to $25,000.

• Grant requests can include funding for capital improvements and one-time projects.

• Organizations must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in order to be eligible.

• Organizations can only apply one time for this funding. If your organization previously received ARPA funding from the Town of Mansfield, you are not eligible to apply again.

• Organizations must demonstrate that their proposal falls within the following priority categories:

                 o Mental Health and Wellness

                 o Food Insecurity

                o Homelessness/Housing Insecurity

                o Economic Insecurity

                o Transportation and Access

Funding requests submitted by area non-profits in response to the RFP will be initially reviewed and evaluated by members of the Human Services Advisory Committee and appropriate Town staff. Recommendations relative to agency funding awards will then be formally presented to the Town Council for its consideration and deliberation prior to final funding decisions being rendered.
