How does Curbside Pickup work?
Anyone who has a valid library card in our system can call 860-423-2501 to request materials.
You may request up to 10 books, magazines, audiobooks or DVDs. All items will be due in 2 weeks.
During the phone call, library staff will confirm your library card status, and check our catalog to see if the books requested are available.
We are not placing holds on items at this time.
Any other requests (for example: a bag of good picture books or a good mystery) will be referred to a librarian to complete.
Books will be retrieved after the phone call is completed, and you will usually be able to pick up your requests the following day.
In the event that our records indicate an item is checked in but is not on the shelf, we will contact you.
Bags will be labelled with your last name and placed in alphabetical order on shelves outside the library, by the front entry. Please observe the rules of social distancing, and wait your turn to take your bag off the shelf.
For your safety, all items returned to the library are quarantined for 3 days. Staff wears masks and gloves when handling materials.
