Meet and Greet Our Local Immigrants

March 24, 2018 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Presenter:  Manish Goyal
Library Program Room

From the Brilliant Colors of India, to the Colors of America

Deep rooted Indian traditions and a loving family facilitated Manish’s strong character, a curious mind and love for education. Cultural expectations influenced his perspective and helped him grow into a healthy individual with a strong desire to help others.  Manish loves his country yet struggles with some of the deeply rooted expectations. This has caused profound conflict, challenging his character and ability to live in personal integrity.  Manish has a powerful, courageous personal story to share. You will not want to miss meeting this incredible young man who has come out of the depth of darkness into the light, combating a silent conflict between social norms and identity.

These free presentations are offered to you through a collaborative effort between the Mansfield Public Library and the Vernon Regional Adult Based Education program. VRABE provides free educational programs in 14 surrounding towns, and include English for ESL, GED, Credit Diploma, NEDP, Citizenship and more.  Visit us at
