Tellabration is a storytelling phenomenon, made up of dozens of storytelling happenings all over the world. Its purpose is to introduce everyone, adults and children, to the pleasures of the oral art of storytelling.  It is one of the programs offered by The Connecticut Storytelling Center, based at Connecticut College in New London.

This year’s Tellabration program is a pre-recorded video featuring storyteller Carol Glynn performing “Connecticut Legends and Lore”   and available during the week of November 21. Read on for more information about Carol and about how to get the link to this wonderful performance!

You may know a lot about Connecticut history….or you may not. Either way, Carol Glynn’s lively, energetic and heartfelt storytelling brings some of the legends and lore of our state vividly to life. You’ll learn about George Washington and his horse, hear the tale of the Leatherman, wonder about the mysterious Underwater Ghost House and more!  Carol is a performer who firmly believes you can act anything out; she loves creating complex characterizations and making her audience think and laugh. Also an author, speaker and teaching artist, Carol has mastered her stories and delivers them to the delight of audiences everywhere.  You can learn more about Carol at

Carol’s program will be available during the week of November 21. There are two links, each to a 30 minute program featuring stories about Connecticut.

We will send the video links out via email to everyone on our Children’s Programs list. You may also get the links on request by contacting Judy at
