Word, Words, Words! Fun with Shakespeare A Workshop for Families

September 17, 2016 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Buchanan Auditorium

This interactive workshop provides families with a fun, hands-on introduction to Shakespeare.  Kids explore the language for themselves, using movement and voice to experience the language in an active, creative , and lively way.  No prior experience with Shakespeare necessary!  This is a great opportunity to families to learn together.

This workshop is presented as part of the First Folio! The Book that Gave Us Shakespeare exhibition, on display at the Benton Museum on UConn’s Storrs campus  Sept. 1 -25.  Published in 1623, the First Folio is the first collected edition of Shakespear’s plays.  Without it, many of his most famous plays, such as Macbeth, Julius Caesar, and Twelfth Night may not have survived.
