What is a hotspot? A hotspot is a small device you can use to connect laptops and other a wireless enabled devices, such as smartphones and tablets, to the Internet. Hotspots can provide Wi-Fi Internet access for up to 10 different wireless enabled devices. Hotspots from the Mansfield Library offer unlimited data and can provide Internet access in any location that has a Verizon signal. Note to Parents/Guardians: Internet content filtering is not provided. You are responsible for all content accessed using the Mobile Hotspot.
How do I checkout a hotspot? Hotspots are available at the Mansfield Public Library’s main branch. To checkout a hotspot, patrons must be 18 years of age or older, possess a valid Connecticut state library card, and will need to fill out a Mansfield Library Electronic Device Lending Agreement form. There is a checkout limit of one hotspot per household.
How long do hotspots go out for? Hotspots can be checked out for 1 week, there are no holds and hotspots cannot be renewed. The overdue fine is $5.00 per day until the hotspot is returned.
