Tax/Revenue Collections

This department is responsible for the billing, collection and record-keeping for motor vehicle taxes, real estate taxes, personal property taxes, sewer usage, parking tickets, refuse/trash and other miscellaneous accounts.

The policies and procedures set in place are dictated by the Connecticut State Statutes and the Town of Mansfield Ordinances.

NEW TAX BILLS WERE MAILED JUNE 30, 2025 & AVAILABLE ONLINE JULY 1, 2025. VEHICLE SUPPLEMENTAL BILLS WERE MAILED ON DECEMBER 30, 2025 AND AVAILABLE ONLINE JANUARY 1, 2026.

THE LAST DAY TO PAY THE JANUARY BILLS IS FEBRUARY 2, 2026.*

*Note: If you plan to mail in your payment, there has been a change at the post office that may result in mail not being postmarked the same day it was collected by a letter carrier or dropped off at a USPS collection box.  Therefore, if you are mailing in the payment close to the last day, we suggest walking it into the post office counter and have it manually postmarked.

Important Notice Regarding Tax and Refuse Bills


The first installment for Real Estate tax bills, Personal Property bills and motor vehicle bills are due July 1, 2025 and the last day to pay without penalty is August 1, 2025.  These tax bills were mailed on June 30th, 2025.


The first quarter installment of the 2026 Trash/Refuse bills will be due January 1, 2026 and the last day to pay without penalty is February 2, 2026.  These bills were mailed on December 30th, 2025.
