[ARCHIVED] Norse gods! Hnefatafl! Equestrian vaulting!

MysticGirl

Viking gods and Hnefatafl with Carolyn Stearns

Saturday March 12 at 2:00 PM in the Buchanan Auditorium

Morgan horses! Equestrian vaulting! Norse Mythology! Hnefatafl! What do they all have in common? Find out at this program with local author Carolyn Stearns. Her new new book Mystic Girl, about a horse-loving girl in contemporary Mystic CT and her surprising encounters with Viking gods, is coming out soon and combines all these appealing topics in one adventurous story.

At this program Carolyn will read from her book and share some stories along with her knowledge of Viking gods and Morgan horses.  She’ll also teach you to play Hnefatafl, an ancient board game also known as “Viking Chess.”  We’ll have supplies for every family to make a Hnefatafl gameboard to play during the program and take home!  Join us for a fun and interesting afternoon!
