Please be advised that any structure intended for recreational bathing (swimming) that is capable of containing water over 24 inches deep is regulated by the Building Code and a permit is required prior to installation. This regulation includes inflatable pools of a temporary nature. It must be understood that the code requirements for a safety barrier for these pools are the same as for permanent above ground or in ground pools.
Cost
The cost of the barrier required for temporary pools often exceeds the cost of the pool. It might be wise to speak with the Building Official prior to purchase regarding the code requirements and permit process.
