Food Programs
Location: Mansfield Senior Center - 303 Maple Road
Distribution procedure:
FOODSHARE will be at the back of the parking lot between the Senior Center and the Housing Authority
apartments. Patrons will line up and walk around the truck to receive items. Please keep the line moving as the truck has other schedules to keep. We ask patrons to remember to bring a bag or box with you to carry your food as these supplies are not available during the distribution. In addition, the volunteers are not available to carry items for patrons. As this process maybe familiar to some this maybe new for others so patience and understanding will be needed during the first few distributions with this procedure. If you have any questions, please contact 860-429-3315.
Parking is at the Senior Center. We ask that those that are able bodied and can walk to please reserve the closest spots for those that have movement issues.

Exploring the Return of the Mansfield Farms to Families Program
The Town of Mansfield is excited to share that we are exploring the possibility of resuming the Mansfield Farms to Families Program, which previously helped connect local households with fresh, locally grown produce. In collaboration with our community partner, CLiCK Willimantic, we have requested funding through the Connecticut Local Food Purchase Assistance (CT LFPA) program. If approved, this funding will allow us to continue to bring fresh, locally sourced food to Mansfield Families from May 2026 – June 2027.
Applications Available While We Await Funding Decision
Because the turnaround between grant notification and our first required food order may be as short as two weeks, we will make program applications available in advance. This ensures that, if funding is approved, we can begin distribution quickly and efficiently.
Residents interested in participating are encouraged to complete an application now so they are ready should the program move forward.
APPLY IN ADVANCE BY GOING HERE
We look forward to sharing updates as soon as we receive them and appreciate the community’s enthusiasm for bringing this valuable program back.
