District Equity Statement: Lead with Equity

We believe that children must be supported to learn and develop in a safe, antiracist environment free from discrimination, bias, and prejudice against all people, where conscious efforts and intentional actions ensure equitable opportunities.


District Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Advisory Team

In May of 2021, the Board of Education adopted a new strategic plan that focuses on six Core Beliefs.  Among the Core Beliefs is the intention to lead with equity.  The action plan to live out this Core Belief includes the completion of a review, or audit, of our school practices as they relate to ensuring an equitable, inclusive school experience for all.  

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Team meets a minimum of three times a year and is composed of Mansfield family members, staff, teachers, and administrators who are committed to helping MPS grow and improve in our practices for all students, families, and staff members.
