The Connecticut State Police is responsible for providing law enforcement coverage, including patrol services for the Town of Mansfield to include 81 towns that either do not have an organized police department or have agreed to let the State Police supervise their police officers or constables. The State Police provides this coverage through 11 troops operating from barracks across the State. Each troop is responsible for several towns.
The Mansfield Resident State Troopers’ office is located in the Audrey P. Beck Municipal Building (Town Hall) 4 South Eagleville Road, we can be reached at 860-429-6024. The Resident trooper’s offices consists of 8 troopers (7 patrol, 1 sergeant and 1 administrative clerk. Under the umbrella support of State Police Troop C in Tolland, the Resident Troopers are exclusively assigned to Mansfield as the town’s primary police service.
Our Resident Troopers are dedicated to serving and protecting citizens of Mansfield, as well as fostering a positive relationship and partnership within the community. Throughout the year and with your support, we run the overwhelmingly successful Stuff-A-Cruiser events, work with local groups, Civic Organizations to include town committees to offer public safety and informational classes on gun safety, internet security, email and phone scams. We also participate in local Walk to School Wednesdays. Mansfield’s 5th graders are instructed the DARE curriculum taught by a Trooper. You will see us at the local elementary school fairs where the students and adults can check out our cars, SUV’s and motorcycles. We look forward to seeing you around town.
