Samantha Butts  

Clarinet 

Availability: Samantha is available for in-person lessons on Mondays 5:00 - 8:30 pm, Wednesdays 6:30 - 8:30 pm, 

and Sundays 3:00 - 8:30 pm.

Samantha Butts is a senior music major at the University of Connecticut in Storrs studying clarinet under Curt Blood. She is a member of the UConn Symphonic Band where she was principal clarinet (2023-2024). She is also a part of the UConn Marching Band where she is serving as one of the clarinet section leaders for the 2025 season. She is a graduate of Burrillville High School, where she was a member of the Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dalen Favali. She was a participant in the All-New England concert band, Southern New England concert band, and R.I. All-State Band. Aside from playing clarinet, Samantha also likes to play the electric bass guitar and alto-saxophone in her free time. Samantha’s goal is to one day be able to direct a college band.
